2020 Hyundai Kona: A Solution to the Urban Jungle

Hyundai welcomes the 2020 Hyundai Kona as the latest addition to its SUV family. This compact crossover offers excellent maneuverability in the city with the higher profile of an SUV. Loaded with technology to take on the urban landscape, the Kona is available in five well-equipped trims: Essential, Preferred, Luxury, Trend, and Ultimate.

A Beautiful Exterior with the Right Equipment in the 2020 Hyundai Kona

The exterior of each Kona combines sculpted curves that extend throughout the body to meet at its finely crafted rear. Hyundai includes many standard exterior features that add tremendous value and make the Kona a favourite among compact crossover buyers.

All models receive LED daytime running lights, projection/automatic headlights, a roof-mounted Centre LED High-Mount Stop Lamp, roof rack side rails, power/heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators, and more. The Preferred and Luxury trims have 17-inch aluminum wheels, increasing to 18 inches on the Trend and Ultimate models. Other features, including Blind Spot Warning, are available on select trims.

Plenty of Power in All 2020 Hyundai Kona Trims

The model line includes two engines that will help you take care of business around town and on the highway. The Essential, Preferred, and Luxury trims have a 2.0L-litre four-cylinder powerplant that produces 147 hp—plenty for a compact vehicle. Standard FWD in the Essential and Preferred trims attain a fuel consumption rating of 8.6/7.0 l/100 km (city/highway), and optional AWD manages a respectable 9.2/7.8 l/100 km. AWD is standard in the Luxury.

When you need an extra boost, the AWD Trend and Ultimate models offer a turbocharged 1.6-litre engine that generates 175 hp. With a 7-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch transmission, you will have the advantage in your commute.

There’s plenty to admire in the Kona’s interior. All models have heated front seats, 60/40 split fold-down rear seats, a dual-level cargo floor, remote entry, rearview camera, Bluetooth hands-free system, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and much more.

The Preferred trim and higher include a variety of safety technologies, including Blind Spot Collision Warning, Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning. The Luxury and Ultimate models include the Hyundai Smartsense, which adds even more of these features.
