The 2020 Hyundai Elantra: Still Ahead of the Game

The reimagined 2020 Hyundai Elantra is part of Hyundai’s revitalization of all model lines. With a sportier profile and a technology upgrade, the Elantra is creating excitement in the marketplace. Four trims comprise this year’s lineup: Essential, Preferred, Luxury, and Ultimate.

The 2020 Elantra’s New Exterior Will Turn Heads

Virtually all exterior areas of the Elantra, including the front end, fenders, hood, and rear demonstrate Hyundai’s new focus on sophisticated design. If it’s been a while since you’ve seen an Elantra, you’re in for a surprise.

Standard exterior features include projection headlights, a centre high mount stop lamp, power heated side mirrors, all-season tires, and body-colour front and rear bumpers. The Preferred model upgrades style with 16” aluminum wheels, LED daytime running lights, auto headlights, LED side mirror turn signal repeaters, and more.

Higher-level trims, including the Luxury and Ultimate, build on the above features with a power sunroof, 17” alloy wheels, and chrome window-belt moulding and door handles. The Luxury model also adds LED headlights and taillights.

Efficient and Reliable Power in the 2020 Elantra

If you’re looking for efficient gas power, the Elantra should be at the top of your shopping list. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine delivers 147 horsepower, which is just right for a compact sedan. The surprising news is the fuel consumption rating of just 7.8/5.6 l/100 km (city/highway) when paired with the Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), which is standard on all trims above the Essential.

The 6-speed manual transmission in the Essential slightly increases fuel consumption but gives you direct control of your acceleration. You’ll save at the gas pump with any Elantra.

The Elantra’s feature-rich interior emphasizes comfort, convenience, and safety for you and your passengers. All owners enjoy heated front seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, iPod/USB/auxiliary connectivity, a Bluetooth hands-free system, TFT display, and more.

The Preferred trim upgrades to a generous 7.0” touchscreen display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel, leather-wrapped shift knob, and much more. The Luxury and Ultimate models extend to an 8.0” touchscreen display, premium seating surfaces, upgraded audio systems with SiriusXM, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry, and more.
